This 6 week course will cover important and relevant topics like bullying, stress & anxiety, resilience, emotional regulation and understanding personal values. Each week the student will learn yogic techniques and mechanisms used to assist the developing and inquisitive mind to understand and tap in to the natural strength they have within. In addition to movement, mindfulness and relaxation practices this will be a safe place to share thoughts and feelings openly in a forum that fosters individuality and encourages self-discovery and knowledge in all of us.
Each class will commence with a group check in and discussion on topic of the day before a sequenced yoga practice and meditation ranging from silent meditation, yoga nidra and creative visualisation. Classes will introduce students to the many styles of yoga asana while learning the origins and development of yoga historically.
