Occupational Therapy

Beth is a caring and knowledgeable occupational therapist who graduated with a Master degree of Occupational Therapy Studies from the University of Queensland in 2014. Though her thesis focused on edema management for persons with hemiplegia following a CVA, the scope of her professional practice extends beyond this area.

Generally an occupational therapist will assist people to develop or rediscover the ability to participate in the activities of everyday life. These activities and client needs can be vastly different, sometimes for the very young, or the elderly, after injury or illness related to either physical or mental health. Outcomes are achieved by working with people and communities to enhance their ability to engage in the occupations they want to, need to, or are expected to do, or by modifying the occupation or the environment to better support their occupational engagement.
